Cultural capital can be explained as a form of capital that is “convertible, in certain conditions, into economic capital and maybe institutionalized in the form of educational qualifications” (Bourdieu, 1986, p. 242). Kapitalen delas upp i: Ekonomiskt kapital som ens inkomster och ekonomiska tillgångar samt kunskap om ekonomins spelregler.
